postcards from america

from july 29, 2010, to september 15, 2010, i traveled the country by car, train, bus, streetcar, cable car, ferry, and bike. i was supposed to be gone 50 days, but i came home a day early, so i was gone 49.

i wrote a postcard every day. my intention was to put them online from the road, but it didn't work out. so here they are in full, notes from an adventure i'd dreamed of going on for years, had finally given up on and guessed i wasn't the kind of person who'd ever do, and then found myself right in the middle of. 

i'm still not exactly sure what they mean or what happened, but this is them, and i hope they can mean something to you. if you end up traveling the country at some point, send me a postcard!
