03/07/2011: questions
so i left home at 4:45 in the morning.
the sunrise was really quiet. just a brightening of the sky behind the clouds.
i was going to portfolio day at the center for cartoon studies in white river junction, vt.
the village was really beautiful.
i walked around and thought about what is the best way to get creative work done. where should you live? how should you structure your life?
what is the most important work i could be doing with my time?
...what is someone supposed to do with their time?
i visited the school's amazing schulz library of comics.
they had an anders nilsen book i've always wanted but could never find! ("don't go where i can't follow")
is it right to ask questions? can one ask too many questions?
the next day i went contra dancing in greenfield, massachusetts. i was really nervous and only danced two or three times, but it was really fun.
then i tracked down a copy of my mini-comic at million year picnic in cambridge. it was a great comic book store and it was cool to see the comic off on his own.
i don't have photos to prove it, but i also met a ton of cool people, spent time with friends i really missed, thought about other friends late at night, talked to my brother on the phone from my car, napped in my car, hung out in a hot tub in the rain, and ate a chocolate-covered marshmallow peep. and i listened to a lot of great music while driving.
(i hope i am doing the right things. i hope i will never look back and wish i'd done a different thing.)
